SSC Napoli 2 - 4 Manchester City Video Highlight All Goals - Sergio Aguero became Manchester City's all-time top-scorer as they beat Napoli to reach the Champions League knockout stages in a game that lived up to the hype. City came from behind to win in a meeting between the free-scoring, unbeaten top sides in the Premier League and Serie A.

The hosts were on top for the first 30 minutes and deservedly led when Lorenzo Insigne played an excellent one-two with Dries Mertens and steered the ball past Ederson. City started to see more of the ball after Napoli's blistering start and were level when Nicolas Otamendi headed in a cross from Ilkay Gundogan - a surprising selection in the starting 11.

Dele Alli gave Spurs the lead after 27 minutes when he turned in Kieran Trippier's cross from close range, then doubled the advantage early in the second half with a shot that took a deflection off Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.

Christian Eriksen provided a cool finish from Kane's pass for the third and even though Cristiano Ronaldo pulled one back for Real with 10 minutes left, it was too little, too late, as Spurs made a powerful statement about their European aspirations.

Alvaro Morata missed a huge chance to equalise from close range, and El Shaarawy made it 2-0 when ex-Roma defender Antonio Rudiger failed to deal with Radja Nainggolan's long ball forward.

The Red Devils, who earned their place by winning last season's Europa League, have claimed four victories from their four Group A games and need just a point from their remaining two games to progress.

"We have not qualified yet? Four victories and it is still not enough? We must get that point from the two remaining matches," said manager Jose Mourinho.

"I am more than happy. We changed a lot of players, we broke the natural dynamic and routines of the team and we played a kid (Scott McTominay) from the academy.

"We scored two goals, did not concede, gained three more points, more money for the club because every victory means money and did not have any significant injuries."

Lionel Messi scored his 100th goal in European football for Barcelona to leave them home and dry in the qualifying stage despite a pre-match monsoon and a red card for Gerard Pique. His century came in just 122 games. Cristiano Ronaldo is the only other player to reach three figures and he clocked up his 100 goals in 143 matches. Messi’s free-kick – he seems to take them with the same certainty that he will score that some players take penalties – got Barcelona out of a hole after Scottish referee William Collum had sent off Pique for deflecting the ball into the net with his hand.

Belgian Svilar, the competition's youngest goalkeeper at 18 years and 52 days, had a moment to forget when he carried Rashford's 35-yard free-kick from out wide over his own goalline. Rashford gave United a cause for concern when he limped off with a knee injury in the second half and was replaced by Anthony Martial.
