Arsene Wenger says Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte have already been "disappointing on all levels" - Arsenal boss says this season's top flight has become 'disappointing on all levels' regardless of the influx of high-profile bosses
ARSENE WENGER was very excited being up against Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte and Jurgen Klopp.
But Arsenal's manager admits the super bosses are failing to deliver a Premier League blockbuster.

But Arsenal's manager admits the super bosses are failing to deliver a Premier League blockbuster.
And he doesn't leave himself away from that brutally honest assessment.
Wenger said:
Wenger said:
“We are in the middle of a championship with the best managers in the world competing, and it’s been disappointing on all levels.“It promised to be an exceptional year but we have not produced the kind of games England is remembered for.“A Premier League season is always marked by two or three games that are absolutely spectacular and so far we haven’t produced that. I feel there is more to come from this competition than we have produced so far — and I include myself in that.”
With at least one from the big five determined to miss out on a Champions League spot, Wenger says concern with failure is inhibiting the mega-managers.
Now he could be hoping his title rivals throw caution to the wind and select broke from the other half of year.
Wenger added:
“We have a responsibility to raise the level of the spectacular.“Because there is so much money in the Premier League and every game has become so important, every manager is under pressure not to lose as his first priority.“All the teams in the Premier League are now top quality — maybe the difference between the favourites and the smaller clubs makes some teams just defend.
“But we have the best managers in the world, I’m sure we’ll see more games when everyone really has to go for it and it’s no longer a case of ‘wait and see’ but ‘go out and make it happen’.”
Wenger also admits it's now extremely hard for any young English manager to land a high-six job.
But he can be facing one among only four English bosses from the Premier League when new Crystal Palace chief Sam Allardyce visits the Emirates tomorrow.
Eddie Howe at Bournemouth, Burnley%u2019s Sean Dyche and Hull chief Mike Phelan are the only others.

Wenger added:
“Arsenal took a silly risk when they employed me 20 years ago — I’m not sure the same thing would happen today.
“There is so much at stake financially.
“Does the chairman gamble on a promising young manager or take an experienced guy who gives him certain guarantees of staying in the Premier League?
“But we want the culture of this country to be defended and represented, so I think it is fair to have some local people at the top.”
ARSENE WENGER slapped down Mathieu Debuchy's claim that he's got stopped speaking with french defender after blocking his Emirates exit.
Debuchy (right), 31, who joined Arsenal for £11million in 2014, says he was denied moves to Espanyol, Man Utd and Fiorentina.

But Wenger insisted: “It’s surprising to hear things like that because it’s completely untrue.”
